Humanity Rating
As humanity took to the stars and found that the Heritage 7 virus was the key to its colonization of alien worlds, fragments were added back into the human race. These fragments came at a time when years of intermingling had all but erased racial boundaries between people, reintroducing differences not thought of for years. These differences were examined and classified into a rating scale that helped to understand just how far man had gone from home. The rating system is detailed below:
- Rated 1 - Humans, the baseline of the humanity scale.
- Rated 2 - Binut, Caspiez
- Rated 3 - Arix
- Rated 4 - Phirrus, Vesuvians
- Rated 5 - Desh
- Unclassified - Syntek
Reproduction
Races can reproduce with one another, however science has found that when couples of a combined humanity rating over six, where the combined rating is comprised of the sum of the two different racial rating, tries for offspring they run a higher risk for complications and infertility. This finding did not hold true in any racial case for couples of the same racial group or for couples where the combined rating did not exceed six.Couples over the six threshold need seek immediate pre-planning advice from medical experts if they are seriously considering children. The decision need not be made lightly as complications can cause harm to both the unborn child and the carrying mother. Thankfully the child of such pairing generally only will inherent one copy of such conflicting genetic problems. These children wil not have to worry about any difficulties reproducing later in life unless he or she also decides to pair in excess of the six modifier at which point the recommendation holds.
