Red Seven Stations
SummaryThese small but highly active restocking stations are nestled within the debris rings of Jupiter - remaining near Europa in its orbit at all times. These stations were dubbed restocking when they became key stops for almost all interstellar trade between the Nibus and Sargas System. Unfortunately, their original name was not Red Seven. They acquired this name when the CP Virus infected one of the 7 stations through a cargo of rare plant species from an exotic moon in the Sargas system many years ago. The virus quickly spread to the other 6 stations and ravaged the population that lived and worked there. Within a few short days of contracting the virus, your muscle tissue is immediately targetted by the virus. Many victims recorded the feeling as a annoying itch that rapidly accelerated into an intolerable burning throughout your body that grew over time. The pores of your skin soon began to sizzle, but a victim would typically die suffocating on their own blood as the tissue of their lungs and throat melted in on itself.CP Virus strikes Terran outposts=Summary=Quick Stats

History
CP Virus Outbreak
It was a simple thing, this small plant that grew thanks to the Heritage 7 virus on Albus. Petite and beautiful the flowers were sweet and the leaves tasted of mint and pepper, the Calaeon became a staple overnight after it was discovered. Evolving oddities from the shifting world below were not rare, but the Calaeon earns a special place in history of the stations as it brought them their common name on the wings of a pox that would blight the whole of the series. While AlbusSeven unnamed stations just beyond Calaeon in the main shipping corridor, between Nibus and Sargas systems, enjoyed prosperity that came with heavy traffic and freight transfer between the merchant ships. Unfortunately, it didn't take long for a particular cargo containing a rare plant species from an exotic moon in the Sargas System to bring activity at one of the seven stations to a screeching halt. The disease the plants unleashed on the station was devastating and, without a cure or vaccine, quickly spread to the other stations. TFP acted quickly in quarantining the area as all traffic was diverted to a hastily-constructed transfer platform. Unfortunately, all attempts at saving the infected with various treatments only prolonged their suffering as the virus targetted their muscle tissue. Itching soon progressed to an intolerable burning sensation. Shortly afterward, the flesh began to sizzle, and victims usually died suffocating on their own blood as their throat and lung tissue dissolved. This gruesome death and the vulnerability of all Terran outposts led to thousands of officials calling for added funding of TFP's science division in efforts to combat alien viruses. The entire population of Red Seven's stations died within two months. Upon the last persons' deaths, TFP flooded all stations with its most powerful disinfectant agents - most of which were lethal to all known organisms. The cleansing of the stations was successful, and, although they were eventually reopened for trade, they have never again regained the level activity they once had before the virus struck. In fact, many who have worked there since the cleansing have reported of hearing screams when darkness fell or having experienced other, more bizarre happenings.
Government
The Red Stations at one time fell under the juristiction of the Steering Comittee upon Albus, however due in large part to the planet's inability to decide on a cohesive direction the stations have since created a mutual agreement and established a localized government to better facilitate the needs of the station residents. Each station elects a mayor and a council of representatives, operating like the orbital cities they are. These same mayors represent the individual stations when matters beyond the singular scope arise. There exists no other governing body such as a senate or house, the stations size does not warrent such excess. Additionally the stations hold no active military, but do pay for the full-member support of Astrum.
Culture
The Red Seven stations are a unique place in Barella in that they have foregone any ties to the world below and consider themselves to be something else entirely. Their stance leads to a very inclusive mindset where those of the stations are truly of the stations. A resident of a Red Seven can easily find a welcome on any of the other stations without need to know the hosts. This inclusiveness extends to outsiders who show themselves to be of the same simple fabric. After the heritage of this place, they know better than to worry over who they sit with - better to enjoy company while it stands.
However, the stations are rightly slow to accept new trends in genetics, food, and augmentation due to their memories of past suffering.

Flats
The Red Seven stations are small, and while each design is unique the stations do sport several commonalities amongst the group. One is the large low and median income housing sector collectively known as the flats. These stories high areas of the station are densely populated and constantly noisy. Residents here complain of thin walls, but thankfully the swell of humanity allows for the heat to stay constant – they normally are forced to regulate the thermostat downward to deal with the cooking hours. The flats are not unsanitary nor in disrepair. They are just a marvelous look at space engineering, where the ramparts that connect the neighbors to one another are serviced by over two-dozen multi-directional elevator systems that intelligently path route to avoid collisions and reach the closest needed destination.
Residents enjoy a healthy community environment that exists in large swaths of the flats. In these areas the community members regularly gather and hold special events on the cramped ramparts and inside opened homes while the lifts wisk by just out of reach.
