Gye-larcis Station
Intended to serve as the key launching point for mining operations in the Alkes Field, Gye-larcis station soon became the target of Vesuvian mining companies who sought to subvert their plans. Acts of counter-espionage were conducted by the Desh owned corporations, and the violence spread. Only when New Fyrin Pact was reached, three years later, did the conflict over ownership of the mineral-rich sectors settle down. This pact between the Vesuvian and Desh unions setup the initial Free Trade Zone and declared the Alkes Field as neutral territory from which ownership could only be leased from a multi-bodied court by various businesses. Forcing almost all anger onto the worlds of the system and stations like Gye-larcis, the hard working people agreed that at the very least they would have some safety while in the field itself.
Gye-larcis, meanwhile, experienced a steady decrease in activity. It took the ingenuity of a innovative engineer to revitalize the aging station and give it new purpose. This was Li-Dorin, the man that revolutionized the design of many advanced designs for starfighters. He also had an uncanny knack for accomplishing the impossible (sometimes through less than scrupulous means).
Li-Dorin saw Gye-larcis as an ideal location for a new facility within the ever-growing realm of his own Trilivane & Tidus Technologies (better known as TripleT). TripleT purchased the station in its entirety, privatized all local governmental and security duties, and began construction of the next-generation robotics development center.
Activity and commerce quickly soared in response to Li-Dorin's substantial investment, and Gye-larcis soon became synonymous with state-of-the-art robotics and the systems that drove them. Anything from mining mechas to partner droids to holo-fantasies were within TripleT's fleet of products. Like most large corporations, however, TripleT has a darker side which, briefly, surfaced years ago regarding clone production. The media was silent on the topic soon after it made breaking news, and nothing has been heard on the subject since.
