Races

Most of the races listed below are actually genetic variants of a traditional human-being. They have all been genetically engineered to live well in the natural environment of the planet or system for which they originally colonized through the use of Heritage 7 genes.

No race is perfect, each variant offering up a potential solution to the problems faced on its homeworld(s). In several cases the races born of genetic engineering have been found faulty, ill-received. In such events engineers set out to recreate the race in a more managed fashion, directly splicing the genes to suit the interests of mankind.

  • Arix: A waterborn race known for their abilities as shipcrafters and versatility in living environments that exceeds almost any other.
  • Binut (aka "Glowworms"): Children of a world in flux, Binut are a dusk-skinned race that have seen more post-genesis splicing than any other. Pioneers or rebels in science?
  • Caspiez: These Starborn people are the heirs of all the heavens; they are most at home in the void of space.
  • Desh: Life on a world as cold and inhospitable as theirs breeds only one thing: the hearty soul of the Desh. Solid work-horses of the universe that complain little.
  • Humans: Earth humans, the stem from which life has spread from the universe - nearly indomitable. Men continue to push forward to ever-new heights.
  • Phirrus: Up-up-and-up, the Phirrus are agile as their unique bodies lead them into a reconnected universe. Outsiders need be careful of the divisions in their numbers.
  • Syntek: A synthetic race that has only recently been recognized as a force of its own - no longer mere service droids, are these real people?
  • Vesuvian (aka "Ves"): Vesuvians, the utility-born of Venus, butt of many jokes, are unique and remarkable with rough-skinned fists that silence any heckler.

Races listed here exist in accordance with all known Neo-Geneva Conventions and have been officially recognized at least in part by official proclamation.
